Personal injury cases we handle in Henderson
Henderson is one of the busiest cities in Nevada, with high-traffic corridors like Boulder Highway, the I-215 Beltway, and the I-11 interchange generating accidents daily. Whether your injury happened on the road, at a business, or on someone else’s property, Jack Bernstein Injury Lawyers can evaluate your case and explain your legal options.
Henderson Car Accidents: Henderson’s mix of highway traffic and residential neighborhoods means accidents range from high-speed collisions on I-215 to intersection crashes along Eastern Avenue and Green Valley Parkway. If you’ve been hurt in a car accident, we can help determine fault and pursue compensation.
Henderson Truck Accidents: Commercial trucks travel Boulder Highway and I-11 regularly. Truck accident cases involve federal regulations, commercial insurance policies, and corporate defendants. They require an attorney with experience handling that complexity.
Henderson Motorcycle Accidents: Henderson’s wide roads and warm climate attract riders year-round, but distracted drivers, left-turn collisions, and lane-change accidents remain serious risks. Insurance adjusters often try to blame the rider. We fight back against that bias.
Henderson Wrongful Death Claims: When a loved one dies because of someone else’s negligence, Nevada law lets the deceased’s heirs pursue their own losses, such as loss of support, companionship, and the pain, suffering or disfigurement of the deceased, while the personal representative of the estate pursues the estate’s losses, such as medical expenses incurred before death and funeral costs. The estate’s share does not include the deceased’s pain and suffering. Jack treats every wrongful death case with the seriousness and care it demands.
Henderson Slip And Fall Accidents: Property owners in Henderson have a legal duty to maintain safe conditions for visitors and customers. If a hazardous condition caused your fall (wet floors, poor lighting, uneven surfaces, obstructed walkways) the property owner may be liable.
If your situation doesn’t fit neatly into one of these categories, call us anyway. Personal injury law covers a wide range of accidents and injuries, and we can tell you quickly whether you have a case worth pursuing.
What to do after an injury in Henderson
The steps you take after an accident affect the strength of your case. Here’s what matters most:
Get medical attention. Don’t wait to “see if it gets better.” The initial medical record creates a critical link between your accident and your injuries. Even if you feel fine at the scene, some injuries take days to show symptoms. Get evaluated as soon as possible.
Report the accident. For vehicle accidents in Henderson, file a report with the Henderson Police Department (not LVMPD, which covers Las Vegas). For falls on someone else’s property, report the incident to the manager and request a written incident report. Keep a copy of everything.
Document everything. Photograph the scene, your injuries, vehicle damage, and any hazard that caused a fall. Get contact information from witnesses. If you were at a business, save your receipt. Timestamps help preserve security footage before it’s overwritten.
Don’t give recorded statements to insurance adjusters. Within days of your accident, an adjuster will call. Their questions are designed to reduce your claim. Your response: “I’m focusing on my medical treatment. My attorney will be in contact with you.”
Contact an attorney before accepting any settlement offer. Early offers rarely account for the full cost of your injuries, especially future medical treatment you may not know you need yet. Once you accept, you can’t go back.
If this happened to you or someone you love
A crash, a fall, or something harder to name: you do not have to sort out whether it is a case. Tell us what happened and Jack will tell you honestly whether it is worth bringing. If it is not, he will say so.

What compensation may be available
Nevada is a fault-based state, meaning the person or party responsible for your injury can be held liable for your losses. If someone else’s negligence caused your accident, you may be entitled to compensation for economic losses like medical expenses, lost wages, and future treatment costs, as well as non-economic damages such as pain and suffering, emotional distress, and loss of enjoyment of life.
Every case is different. The value of your claim depends on your specific injuries, medical costs, lost income, and how clearly the other party’s negligence caused your accident. We evaluate your situation during a free consultation and give you an honest assessment.
Why choose Jack Bernstein for your Henderson case

An action for injuries to a person, or for the death of a person caused by the wrongful act or neglect of another, must generally be commenced within two years after the cause of action accrues (NRS 11.190(4)(e)). Different deadlines and exceptions can apply: NRS 41A.097 governs an action for injury or death against a provider of health care, a tort claim against the State or one of its political subdivisions carries a separate two-year claim-filing requirement that is not a condition precedent to bringing an action (NRS 41.036), the period does not run while the person entitled to bring the action was under 18 or insane when the cause of action accrued (NRS 11.250), and an action against the alleged perpetrator or a person convicted may be brought at any time for sexual abuse or sexual exploitation that occurred when the plaintiff was under 18 (NRS 11.215) or for a sexual assault that occurred when the plaintiff was 18 or older (NRS 11.217). But evidence disappears much faster. Security footage gets overwritten, witnesses become unavailable, and physical conditions get repaired. Acting sooner protects your case.
What if I was partially at fault?
Nevada uses a modified comparative negligence system (NRS 41.141). You can still recover compensation as long as your negligence was not greater than the combined negligence of the parties you are suing. Your award is reduced by your percentage of responsibility. Insurance companies routinely exaggerate your share of fault to reduce their payout. Having an attorney helps protect against that.
How much is my case worth?
There’s no honest answer to this without knowing the specifics of your situation. Value depends on injury severity, total medical costs, lost income, clarity of fault, and quality of evidence. We evaluate your case during a free consultation and give you a straightforward assessment.
I was injured in Henderson. Does it matter that your office is in Las Vegas?
Jack Bernstein’s office is located near the Las Vegas-Henderson border. Henderson is in Clark County, the same jurisdiction as Las Vegas, so your case follows the same courts and legal procedures. Call us at (702) 633-3333 to discuss your situation.
How much does it cost to hire Jack Bernstein?
Nothing upfront. We work on a contingency fee basis, meaning no attorney fees unless we successfully resolve your case. We advance all case expenses. Your initial consultation is free.
