Personal injury cases we handle in Summerlin
Summerlin’s busy corridors, including Summerlin Parkway, the 215 Beltway, and Town Center Drive, see steady traffic throughout the day. Whether your injury happened on the road, at a business, or on someone else’s property, Jack Bernstein Injury Lawyers can evaluate your case and explain your legal options.
Summerlin Car Accidents: Summerlin Parkway and the 215 Beltway are among the most-traveled roads in western Las Vegas, and intersection crashes along Sahara Avenue, Charleston Boulevard, and Lake Mead Boulevard are common. If you’ve been hurt in a car accident, we can help determine fault and pursue compensation.
Summerlin Truck Accidents: Commercial vehicles travel the 215 Beltway and surrounding routes daily. Truck accident cases involve federal regulations, commercial insurance policies, and corporate defendants. They require an attorney with experience handling that complexity.
Summerlin Motorcycle Accidents: Warm weather and scenic routes near Red Rock Canyon attract riders year-round, but distracted drivers, left-turn collisions, and lane-change accidents remain serious risks. Insurance adjusters often try to blame the rider. We fight back against that bias.
Summerlin Wrongful Death Claims: When a loved one dies because of someone else’s negligence, Nevada law lets the deceased person’s heirs pursue compensation for lost support and loss of companionship, and lets the estate’s personal representative recover funeral costs and pre-death medical expenses. Jack treats every wrongful death case with the seriousness and care it demands.
Summerlin Slip and Fall Accidents: Property owners in Summerlin have a legal duty to maintain safe conditions for visitors and customers. If a hazardous condition caused your fall (wet floors, poor lighting, uneven surfaces, obstructed walkways) the property owner may be liable.
If your situation doesn’t fit neatly into one of these categories, call us anyway. Personal injury law covers a wide range of accidents and injuries, and we can tell you quickly whether you have a case worth pursuing.
What to do after an injury in Summerlin
The steps you take after an accident affect the strength of your case. Here’s what matters most:
Get medical attention. Don’t wait to “see if it gets better.” The initial medical record creates a critical link between your accident and your injuries. Even if you feel fine at the scene, some injuries take days to show symptoms. Get evaluated as soon as possible.
Report the accident. For vehicle accidents in Summerlin, file a report with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), which covers the Summerlin area. For falls on someone else’s property, report the incident to the manager and request a written incident report. Keep a copy of everything.
Document everything. Photograph the scene, your injuries, vehicle damage, and any hazard that caused a fall. Get contact information from witnesses. If you were at a business, save your receipt. Timestamps help preserve security footage before it’s overwritten.
Don’t give recorded statements to insurance adjusters. Within days of your accident, an adjuster will call. Their questions are designed to reduce your claim. Your response: “I’m focusing on my medical treatment. My attorney will be in contact with you.”
Contact an attorney before accepting any settlement offer. Early offers rarely account for the full cost of your injuries, especially future medical treatment you may not know you need yet. Once you accept, you can’t go back.
If you would like to talk it through
Jack takes the call himself, and he handles injury cases only. Tell us what happened in Summerlin and he will tell you honestly whether it is a case worth bringing and what would come next.

Compensation available for Summerlin injury victims
Nevada is a fault-based state, meaning the person or party responsible for your injury can be held liable for your losses. If someone else’s negligence caused your accident, you may be entitled to compensation for economic losses like medical expenses, lost wages, and future treatment costs, as well as non-economic damages such as pain and suffering, emotional distress, and loss of enjoyment of life.
Every case is different. The value of your claim depends on your specific injuries, medical costs, lost income, and how clearly the other party’s negligence caused your accident. We evaluate your situation during a free consultation and give you an honest assessment.
Why choose Jack Bernstein for your Summerlin personal injury case
Over 40 years focused on personal injury. Jack doesn’t handle divorces, bankruptcies, or traffic tickets. Personal injury is what he does: car accidents, truck crashes, slip and falls, wrongful death. That focus means deep experience with the tactics insurance companies use and how to counter them.
More than $500 million in verdicts and settlements. Results across decades of practice, representing injury victims throughout Nevada.
Jack is personally involved in every case. You won’t be handed off to a junior associate you’ve never met. Jack and his team give your case direct attention.

Frequently asked questions
Have questions about your case?
Every personal injury case is different. These answers cover the general rules; what applies to you depends on the facts.
Call us any time, 24 hours a day, and we will go through the specifics with you. It is free, and there is no obligation.
(702) 633-3333 Free consultation · Available 24/7 Or send us the details onlineHow long do I have to file a personal injury claim in Nevada?
You generally have two years to file a lawsuit under Nevada’s statute of limitations (NRS 11.190(4)(e)), measured from when your claim accrues. Different deadlines and exceptions can apply: claims against health care providers (NRS 41A.097) and claims against state and local government (NRS 41.036) run under other statutes, and the period does not run while the injured person was under 18 or insane when the claim accrued (NRS 11.250). But evidence disappears much faster. Security footage gets overwritten, witnesses become unavailable, and physical conditions get repaired. Acting sooner protects your case.
What if I was partially at fault?
Nevada uses a modified comparative negligence system (NRS 41.141). You can still recover compensation as long as your negligence was not greater than the negligence of the defendant, or the combined negligence of the defendants you are suing. Your award is reduced by your percentage of responsibility. Insurance companies routinely exaggerate your share of fault to reduce their payout. Having an attorney helps protect against that.
How much is my case worth?
There’s no honest answer to this without knowing the specifics of your situation. Value depends on injury severity, total medical costs, lost income, clarity of fault, and quality of evidence. We evaluate your case during a free consultation and give you a straightforward assessment.
Is Summerlin part of Las Vegas? Does that affect my case?
Summerlin is a master-planned community that straddles a municipal line: parts of it sit inside the City of Las Vegas and parts are in unincorporated Clark County. For most claims that makes no practical difference, because the same Nevada law applies and the case is heard in the same Clark County courts. It can matter where the party at fault is a government body, such as a claim over a road or sidewalk defect or a municipal vehicle: which entity belongs in the caption depends on who owned or controlled the place or the vehicle, the city on one side of the line or the county on the other. NRS 41.031 waives the immunity of the State and of its political subdivisions, but only as that section provides, subject to the exceptions and claim limitations in NRS 41.032 to 41.038 and the other statutes the section names. Tell us the exact address of the crash and we will work out which entity that is.
