Personal injury cases we handle in Pahrump
Accidents in Pahrump range from highway collisions on NV-160 to slip and falls at local businesses. Whatever caused your injury, Jack Bernstein Injury Lawyers can evaluate your case and explain your legal options.
Pahrump Car Accidents: Pahrump’s highways and rural roads present hazards that urban Las Vegas roads don’t, including limited lighting, higher speeds, and longer distances between intersections. If you’ve been hurt in a car accident, we can help determine fault and pursue compensation.
Pahrump Truck Accidents, NV-160 connects Pahrump to Las Vegas and carries commercial truck traffic daily. Truck accident cases involve federal regulations, commercial insurance policies, and corporate defendants. They require an attorney with experience handling that complexity.
Pahrump Motorcycle Accidents: Open desert roads attract riders, but gravel, wildlife crossings, and distracted drivers create serious hazards. Insurance adjusters often try to blame the rider. We fight back against that bias.
Pahrump Wrongful Death Claims: When a loved one dies because of someone else’s negligence, Nevada law lets the deceased person’s heirs pursue compensation for lost support and loss of companionship, and lets the estate’s personal representative recover funeral costs and pre-death medical expenses. Jack treats every wrongful death case with the seriousness and care it demands.
Pahrump Slip and Fall Accidents: Property owners in Pahrump have the same legal duty to maintain safe conditions as any business in Nevada. If a hazardous condition caused your fall (wet floors, poor lighting, uneven surfaces, obstructed walkways) the property owner may be liable.
If your situation doesn’t fit neatly into one of these categories, call us anyway. Personal injury law covers a wide range of accidents and injuries, and we can tell you quickly whether you have a case worth pursuing.
What to do after an injury in Pahrump
The steps you take after an accident affect the strength of your case. Here’s what matters most:
Get medical attention. Don’t wait to “see if it gets better.” The initial medical record creates a critical link between your accident and your injuries. If your injuries require specialist treatment beyond what’s available locally, get initial documentation first and follow up with specialists. That timeline matters.
Report the accident. For vehicle accidents, file a report with the Nye County Sheriff’s Office or Nevada Highway Patrol. For falls on someone else’s property, report the incident to the manager and request a written incident report. Keep a copy of everything.
Document everything. Photograph the scene, your injuries, vehicle damage, and any hazard that caused a fall. Get contact information from witnesses. If you were at a business, save your receipt. Timestamps help preserve security footage before it’s overwritten.
Don’t give recorded statements to insurance adjusters. Within days of your accident, an adjuster will call. Their questions are designed to reduce your claim. Your response: “I’m focusing on my medical treatment. My attorney will be in contact with you.”
Contact an attorney before accepting any settlement offer. Early offers rarely account for the full cost of your injuries, especially future medical treatment you may not know you need yet. Once you accept, you can’t go back.
Wondering whether it is worth a call?
Jack takes the call himself. Tell us what happened in Pahrump and he will tell you honestly whether it is a case worth bringing and what would come next.

Compensation available for Pahrump injury victims
Nevada is a fault-based state, meaning the person or party responsible for your injury can be held liable for your losses. If someone else’s negligence caused your accident, you may be entitled to compensation for economic losses like medical expenses, lost wages, and future treatment costs, as well as non-economic damages such as pain and suffering, emotional distress, and loss of enjoyment of life.
Every case is different. The value of your claim depends on your specific injuries, medical costs, lost income, and how clearly the other party’s negligence caused your accident. We evaluate your situation during a free consultation and give you an honest assessment.

Frequently asked questions
Have questions about your case?
Every personal injury case is different. These answers cover the general rules; what applies to you depends on the facts.
Call us any time, 24 hours a day, and we will go through the specifics with you. It is free, and there is no obligation.
(702) 633-3333 Free consultation · Available 24/7 Or send us the details onlineHow long do I have to file a personal injury claim in Nevada?
You generally have two years to file a lawsuit under Nevada’s statute of limitations (NRS 11.190(4)(e)), measured from when your claim accrues. Different deadlines and exceptions can apply: claims against health care providers (NRS 41A.097) and claims against state and local government (NRS 41.036) run under other statutes, and the period does not run while the injured person was under 18 or insane when the claim accrued (NRS 11.250). But evidence disappears much faster. Security footage gets overwritten, witnesses become unavailable, and physical conditions get repaired. Acting sooner protects your case.
What if I was partially at fault?
Nevada uses a modified comparative negligence system (NRS 41.141). You can still recover compensation as long as your negligence was not greater than the negligence of the defendant, or the combined negligence of the defendants you are suing. Your award is reduced by your percentage of responsibility. Insurance companies routinely exaggerate your share of fault to reduce their payout. Having an attorney helps protect against that.
How much is my case worth?
There’s no honest answer to this without knowing the specifics of your situation. Value depends on injury severity, total medical costs, lost income, clarity of fault, and quality of evidence. We evaluate your case during a free consultation and give you a straightforward assessment.
I’m in Pahrump. How does working with a Las Vegas-based firm work?
Pahrump is in Nye County, which has its own court system separate from Clark County. Jack’s team handles cases throughout Nevada, including Nye County filings and procedures. Call us at (702) 633-3333 to discuss how we’d handle your specific situation.
